Revolusi Belanja Fashion: Peluncuran Aura Intelligence oleh Avalon AI di Surabaya

Avalon AI Launches Aura Intelligence to Change How You Shop

Surabaya, IT Journalistic — On February 28, 2025, Avalon AI, a startup that builds smart technology, launched its new product Aura Intelligence at the Matahari Department Store in Tunjungan Plaza 3, Surabaya. The event drew academics, store managers, and shoppers who came to see the new system in action.

A New Tool for Shopping

Kevin Putra Santoso, Avalon AI’s President Director and an ITS Information Technology student, spoke at the event. He said, "We feel happy to launch Aura Intelligence today. This event is also our first work with Matahari in Tunjungan Plaza. We work with AI to do research and build new things that help fashion and creative work."

Aura Intelligence helps customers pick clothes that match their size and color needs without using a fitting room. The system saves shoppers time when they shop.

Main Parts of Aura Intelligence

Aura Intelligence can guess your clothing size by itself. Kevin said this is the first idea like this in Indonesia. He added, "Usually, you need special and expensive tools to get this feature. We made an algorithm with deep learning that replaces those tools. This makes the process simple and cheap."

Aura Intelligence also suggests clothes that match your best color. Kevin mentioned that this idea is discussed a lot in the media. "Normally, you see a specialist for a color check, and that costs money. We set up our system so that more people can get these suggestions without the high cost," he said. A chatbot also talks with shoppers as a fashion helper.

The Path to This Idea

Avalon AI worked hard to build Aura Intelligence. Kevin spoke of many challenges, saying that the project needed much research. "This idea began in 2023, but doing it for real only started this year. A big challenge was to make the deep learning system work without the need for high-cost gear," he noted.

Yani, the Matahari store manager, explained that the work together began because of long queues in fitting rooms. "I looked for a way to let customers check clothes without waiting. I met Kevin and his team, and we found a common goal. That is how we began this work," she said.

Yani expects that smart systems in fashion will change shopping. "After the pandemic, digital changes come fast. We hope that Aura Intelligence will make shopping easier for all Matahari customers," she said.

Support from Teaching and Public Views

Hari Ginardi, head of the ITS Information Technology Department, said he feels proud of his student’s work. He said, "Many AI trends focus on chatbots or large language models, but Avalon AI built a system that people can use right away. This shows that our students can create new ideas that help society."

People at the event gave good feedback. Mawar from Surabaya said, "It is simple and saves me time. I only need to scan with my camera, not try on many clothes." Another visitor, Wisnu, said the system helps to pick the right size.

What Comes Next

Avalon AI plans to add more options to Aura Intelligence. They want to link it with online stores and add features like virtual try-ons. "We wish Aura Intelligence to work in every Matahari outlet and even at home for personal use," said Kevin.
