Revamping Fashion Shopping: Avalon AI Launches Aura Intelligence, an AI-Powered Solution for Effortless Clothing Selection

Avalon AI Launches Innovative Aura Intelligence Technology in Surabaya

Surabaya, IT Journalistic — On Friday, February 28, Avalon AI, a startup in artificial intelligence, launched its new product, Aura Intelligence, at the Matahari Department Store in Tunjungan Plaza 3 in Surabaya. The event drew people from many groups. Some came from local schools, some ran the Matahari store, and others were visitors who love new tech in fashion.

Kevin Putra Santoso leads Avalon AI. He is also a student from the Information Technology Department at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). He said, "We are happy to launch Aura Intelligence. This event marks our first work with Matahari in Tunjungan Plaza. Our team uses AI research to support new ideas in lifestyle and the creative field."

What is Aura Intelligence?

Aura Intelligence is a system that uses AI to help shoppers. The system shows clothing options that match a user’s size and color. It saves time by letting customers skip the fitting room.

A key trait of Aura Intelligence is its ability to guess the right size. Kevin said, "This is the first system in Indonesia that helps customers find the right clothing size without big machines. Usually, finding the right size calls for costly devices. We built a deep learning system that works without them. This makes the process simple and low-cost."

Personalized Features and Shopping Experience

Aura Intelligence gives advice on clothes based on a personal color check. Normally, one would see a specialist for a color check, which can cost much. We want to keep this service low cost, added Kevin. Avalon AI also made a chat assistant that acts as a guide to help with clothes choices.

Building Aura Intelligence took hard work. Kevin explained, "The idea came in 2023, but we began the work on the system this year. A big task was to build the deep learning part for size estimation without costly tools."

A Collaborative Solution to Shopping Challenges

Yani, the store manager at Matahari Tunjungan Plaza, said, "We wanted to give shoppers an easier way to try on clothes without long waits. When I met Kevin and his team, our goals matched. That meeting made our project real."

Yani added that the system will change how people shop. "After the global health changes, the rise in digital work is clear. We hope Aura Intelligence will make shopping more pleasant for our customers," she said.

Academic Pride and Public Reactions

Hari Ginardi, head of the Information Technology Department at ITS, said, "Our student built a system that people can use every day. While many systems now only offer chat help or text replies, Avalon AI built a tool that works in real life. Their work shows that our students can create ideas that help many people."

Visitors liked the new system at the event. Mawar, a visitor from Surabaya, said, "This system makes shopping faster. I can scan with my phone without the need to try on clothes." Another guest, Wisnu, noted that the system helps him choose the right size.

Future Plans for Aura Intelligence

Avalon AI will keep improving Aura Intelligence. They plan to join it with online shopping sites and add fun features like a view that lets users try on clothes virtually. Kevin said, "We hope that Aura Intelligence works in all Matahari stores and that customers may even use it at home."

Avalon AI shows that young talent can build ideas that change how we shop. Kevin and his team worked with care and research. Their work may encourage more students to try new paths in technology and bring change to many areas.
